In his speech Dr. Habig underlined the importance of sharing
information and knowledge on technical as well as market development in
order to drive the casting process ahead and to contribute to making
markets and the industry more sound and liable. In this context, the
World Foundry Congress of WFO and the International Foundry Forum of
CEMAFON and CAEF complement each other in an excellent way. With this
spirit in mind, CEMAFON would appreciate a closer cooperation between
both organisations.
At the WFO Technical Forum energy efficiency was the key topic, an issue that is on the agenda of CEMAFON as well.
At
IFEX about 210 exhibitors from 14 countries on a net exhibition space
of 7200 sqm presented their products and services. About 50 of the
exhibitors were from European Origin. The exhibition has been visited
by about 10.000 visitors, 2.000 of them registered for the World
Foundry Congress.
The majority of the exhibitors where quite
happy with the results of the exhibition particularly as India has
ambitions targets to increase the casting output and sees the necessity
to increase liability, productivity and quality through investing in
modern foundry technologies.
