Internationalisation of CEN/TC 202 "Foundry Machinery Safety" on track!

In 2016, ISO conducted a survey to establish a new technical committee reagarding "Foundry Machinery". The survey was initiated by China and supported by CEMAFON.
At least five countries had to support the survey to establish a new ISO Technical Committee (ISO/TC). This target has been reached and ISO approved to establish ISO/TC 306 "Foundry Machinery". The Secretariat will be run by SAC (China). The Chaiman of this ISO/TC is Professor Shou-Mei XIONG from Tsinghua University. Professor Xiong is currently Chairman of the die casting committee of FICMES (Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society), Vice Chairman of FICMES, and Vice Chairman of China Foundry Association (CFA).
The kick-off-meeting is planned for the first half of 2017 in China.
