General InformationATEX DirectiveFoundry machinery is not intended for the use in explosive atmospheres and is thus not subject to the requirements of the ATEX Directive 94/9/EG. However, such equipment has to fulfill the safety requirements of the Machinery Directive 98/37/EG. For further information please contact Winfried Resch. CE-MarkingManufacturers who intend to place foundry machinery and equipment on the market of an EC-member state have to set up a risk assessment as well as a declaration of conformity according to the EC-machinery directive 98/37/EG. By this procedure which is legally stipulated, the manufacturer guarantees that all relevant regulations for the safety of the foundry machinery and equipment have been complied with and that he is authorised to mark the equipment with a CE-sign. |
