CEMAFON highly respected at the first Asia Foundry Forum and Metall & Metallurgy China

CEMAFON was among the supporters of the Asia Foundry Forum 2010, organised by

- China Foundry Association
- Japan Foundry Society
- The Institute of Indian Foundrymen
- The Korean Foundrymen Society
- Mongolian Metallurgical Association
- Taiwan Casting Industry Association
- Hongkong Die Casting & Foundry Association.

At this one day conference speakers from the various organising and supporting associations gave an update on the situation of their respective industries. Mr Gabriele Galante, President of CEMAFON,  gave a presentation on the European foundry equipment industry – "Trendsetting Technology for the Asian Market".

In recent years, the Asian foundry industry expanded at an unprecedented speed. Its annual output of castings has surpassed 50 percent of the global output of castings. All Asian organisations expect a further strong increase of casting output and made clear that they put great emphasis on increasing productivity, quality and sustainable development.

At Metall & Metallurgy China, the CEMAFON President, Mr Gabriele Galante, and the General Secretary, Dr Gutmann Habig, were prominently welcomed representing the European industries at any official occasion. On behalf of all exhibitors, Dr Habig gave a speech at the official opening of the exhibition. CEMAFON, CECOF and EUnited Metallurgy had organised an information stand in the international hall of the exhibition. They also invited representatives of the respective partner organisations and associations CFA, CCPIT and Institute of Industrial Furnaces in China to a lunch in order to strengthen the ties between the European and Chinese organisations.
